Clare Richard 2016-2017

Upon graduation from the University of Toronto with her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education in 2011, Clare went on to complete her Athletic Therapy Certificate from York University in 2013.  While at York University, Clare had the opportunity to work with the York University Varsity Cross Country, Track and Field and Women’s Volleyball teams.

This will be Clare’s third season with the Metro Toronto Wildcats.  Additionally, Clare has worked with the National Ballet of Canada, Aurora Tigers Jr. A Hockey Club, George Brown College, and Heartbeat of Home, a production out of Ireland, showcasing international dance styles.  In summer 2015, Clare was one of the certified athletic therapists with Pan Am Games Toronto at Field Hockey.  She is currently the head therapist with the York Simcoe Express Midget AAA team, as well as Karate Canada’s Junior National Team.  She recently returned from Guayaquil, Ecuador with the Karate team after a successful Junior World Championships.

Recently, Clare completed her Masters of Rehabilitation Science with McMaster University.  She has also completed courses in Sport Massage- Pre and Post event care, Anne Hartley’s Assessment and Treatment of Mild Traumatic Brain Injuries, and most recently, an Internal Injuries Assessment course.

In her spare time, Clare enjoys attending Pilates and yoga classes, traveling around the world and being creative in the kitchen cooking new dishes.
